Again, reading the article reveals that Jeff Sessions was not aware that he was being investigated by James Comey until AFTER he accepted the position from Trump, just as the deep state planned. Once Sessions accepted the position, he was notified that he was the object of the investigation he was, as AG, expected to oversee. Of COURSE he had to recuse.
