He did answer the question., Which is not the sane as you postuate.
Yeah, I’;d like for us old-timers to be affected by facts instead of propaganda...
Attorney Generals can still review the case before recusing themselves, and if the case is corrupt deal with it. AGs have no responsibility to accept a accusation of conflict of interest at face value and risk letting a corrupt case go forward.
To me, it looks like Sessions accepted the Russia-Collusion case at face value, and did not reconsider in face of evidence it was a fraud. When Judical Watch was finding all the conflict of interests in Mueller's prosecution, including Mueller's on the FISA courts, that would have been grounds for Sessions to review it all.
Much nonsense verbiage by a coward. He knew the entire setup was a sham because he knew he participated in no criminal activity. His recusal was cowardice under cover of moralistic purity, a condition unique to certain southern gentlemen.
Thanks Jeff. You are a great American and more importantly you did the right thing. The President has been wrong about a few things, and his turning on you was one of them.
That being said, i’ve always supported you completely and in the face of many FReepers who disagreed with me. I have never doubted you for a moment. You are a man of God and a good man who is one of the few true conservatives in politics. I hope the people of Alabama come to their senses and agree. exchange Tubberville for a patriot like you? that’s their choice, but imo, that’s a bad deal all the way around.
Of course, i’ve already written many checks for you and i will continue to support you, win, or lose. Thank God for you Jeff Sessions, i’m praying for you to beat the odds and come through, in Jesus Name. Amen.
Well, the conversations he says he had with senior career department officials over a period of “several weeks,” makes it sound like he had begun to discuss his recusal as soon as he was sworn in, considering he was in the job for only 22 days when he recused himself.
~~~~~~~~~
I’m guessing the Deep State wanted a recused AG so they waited until he was sworn in to tell him what they already knew for weeks prior - he was under investigation and as AG, could not investigate himself. I think it wasn’t an easy decision trying to figure out how to maneuver. I am wondering if it’s actually illegal for them to withold from him information that he is under investigation for the purpose of disabling an AG in his position. Time will tell.
He knew the entire setup was a sham because he knew he participated in no criminal activity.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
*sigh*
It doesn’t matter that Jeff knew he was innocent. As AG he could not head an investigation into his own actions.
He was pushed to recuse himself from Democrats because of statements he made during his confirmation hearings. He had been asked by Franken if he knew of anyone from the Trump campaign who had met or had contacts with the Russian government. Sessions replied: "Senator Franken, I'm not aware of any of those activities. I have been called a surrogate at a time or two in that campaign and I didn't have -- did not have communications with the Russians, and I'm unable to comment on it."
On March 1st, 2017, news breaks that Session met with the Russian Ambassador twice, and Pelosi said he "lied under oath, and needs to resign." Those meetings were legit as he was still a Senator, and head of the Senate Armed Services Committee. The next day Sessions recuses himself.
Ken Starr? Really?
You really are unaware, aintcha.

Only after Judge Emmett Sullivan, okay?
Jeff “Rip Van” Sessions is a ‘good guy’... or, as a friend of mine would say: “he’s so good, he’s good for nothing”.
Trump should have picked for AG a ‘bad boy’ like Chris Christie, and things would have been different.
Big Mistake!
Donald needed a Pit Bull, not a freaking Chiwawa!
STE=Q
PS: I know...2020 hindsight... whatever.
Pathetic. And by the way Jeff, whats up with your Mr. Huber Investigative lawyer guy in Utah?
Another of the same outrageous lies and fabrications that brought almost 4 years of investigative hoaxes and fraudulent prosecutions.
Thanks for the reminder.
It wasn't about the truth or non truth of the allegation. It was about the fact that he was being investigated by the FBI. He sat as the Attorney General and therefore was ultimately in charge of the investigation on himself.
If you dopes can't understand what that means, then you are beyond reason.
Stupid people annoy me.
And now, after his dismal performance as AG he wants to get back in the senate?If they shat on him that bad why would anyone want back in gubmint? I will tell you why,The perks.He is plenty old enough to retire yet wants back in the old boys network.I hope Alabama can see through this guy.I can only imagine the scat they have on him.He is deep state.
If he'd had any balls, despite Trump's refusal to accept his resignation, he could have walked off the job, and saved us a lot of headaches. President Trump probably would have been relieved.
Okay, so where in the letter did he answer the question? Can you share it with me, or is it classified?
The unnamed source in the Deep State NY Times is the original source of your belief. Do you understand that?
How I wish people actually READ the thread before responding.
Go find somebody who hasn't read his lame letter and complain to them. I read the letter. That's why I'm responding to it.
I dont post on these threads just to oppose whatever others are saying so try to understand why this conversation is a waste of my time.
I don't care if you think something is a waste of your time. You posted an open letter from Jeff Sessions that should be addressed. I've addressed it. If you don't like that I've done that then don't respond.
You can't get any sourcier of a source then the man himself. Sessions just said out his mouth that he offered his resignation. Trump never confirming that he did, if what you say is even true, has no bearing.
What Sessions (the source) said is easily confirmed. Go ask Trump.
It would be more intellectually honest and you people would have more credibility for your emotional, illogical rants if you stopped trying to refute obvious truths with your bullschitt.
Helpful hint.
Peter Strzok and the rest of his evil minions were probably already working in the background, investigating Sessions while he was undergoing his confirmation hearings. They’d planned the whole thing ahead of time, and it worked like a charm...for quite a while.
