Essential workers, and now that colleges are going out of business perhaps trade schools will provide more valuable essential plumbers.
more valuable essential plumbers.
I have some kin that happen to be Physicians and a Plumber son in law.
The Plumber served a five year low paid (free) apprenticeship and starts making some money. The Doc, college$, med school$, intern, fellowship$?... and perhaps buy into a practice?
For the first 10? years a go-getter big city plumber can rake it in. And more as long as his back holds out.
When the Physician completes paying for school and his equipment he starts moving ahead finically.
Now along comes Wu-flu, the anesthesiologist has been told her position is on the line, has a temp offer in NYC.
And the older country Doctor lived comfortably, but not megabucks.
