“SARS-CoV-2 Rates in BCG-Vaccinated vs Unvaccinated Young Adults https://ja.ma/2T3IhKj
This suggests no significant differences in COVID infection with and without BCG vaccination”
Been wondering about that. Not definitive, but a clue.
Report from NYC:
First day that people seem to be getting a taste of what it will be like when this is over. More on the sidewalks, more car traffic, more people riding bikes . . . a nice day.
Some of the restaurants tried the takeout-or-delivery-only route and have now closed down. It’s obvious they weren’t breaking even by staying open, or else their staff got sick or refused to come in. Makes me sad. Others are doing a nice “curbside” thing with a bar/table between the inside and the sidewalk.
McDonald’s going OK but Popeye’s had to close down.
All meetings are now by Internet only.
I haven’t been out of my neighborhood but people say some areas are spooky, with no people. Like Lincoln Center area. I think that will gradually change, especially if those restaurants start to open a bit there.
Sometimes the sadness is overwhelming, but it was worse at the peak when it seemed like there was no stopping it.
