WMAL is the #1 radio station in the DC market for the first time in decades! Take a look at the Nielsen radio ratings for April 2020! (And many in media have said in the past that a conservative news talk station would NEVER make it in a city and region like Washington, DC!)
Congratulations to WMAL -- Mary Walter, Vince Cogliniese, Larry O'Connor, Chris Plante, Rush Limbaugh, Mark Levin, Ben Shapiro, John Batchelor.
Three really good guys who were stalwarts on Baltimore’s two conservative stations, WCBM and WBAL, have passed away. WCBM lost both Les Kinsolving (he died at age 90) and Thomas Aquinas Marr (he died unexpectedly after complications from surgery in his mid-70s). WBAL lost the “Voice of Reason”, Ron Smith, from cancer at age 70. All three of them were fantastic radio personalities.
WBAL has become an all news station, and is no longer a conservative talker. WCBM still has Sean and Frank in the morning, a really terrific conservative radio show, and runs Rush and Mark Levin as well.
Good to hear from you, Duckbutt! Have a nice retirement in Arkansas!
Hi there! I haven't been on as much as a few years ago due to work.
I was on the show about 2 weeks ago discussing how the Trump campaign should make it mandatory that the Dem nominee (Basement Biden) & the Rep nominee (Trump) have to be on stage for the three presidential debates this Fall, standing up all the time, and making sure that Biden doesn't have a listening device shoved inside his ear. Oh and also making sure that Biden gets his picks of moderators and that Trump gets his picks too.
Your in-depth analysis on the psyche of WMAL's news readers made me laugh (although I'm not in agreement, however, your way with words & descriptions was phenomenal!) Best!
Double ditto.
Watch out, Rush!
I love his fast-paced delivery. He doesn’t waste a second or my time.
And hopefully it will translate to big numbers at the ballot box in Nov. for Trump. The listenership is 99% Pro-Trump!
Totally agree! I've known the man since 2006 and he has not changed one bit in format and in personality. I see the WMAL hosts every year at the annual WMAL Free Speech Forum (takes place every Sept., but we don't think that it'll take place this year due to the COVID) and when you pair Chris with Mark Levin, who is also there, it's really a treat & very special. The guys are total comedians and their cadence, dry humor & sarcasm, while discussing all things political, is very special. I laugh so hard that my makeup runs and when I get home I look like Courtney Love in the 1990s! Best!
Chris Plante is Mr. Smooth.
Chris Plante is Mr. Edgy.
