I believe you're thinking of the circa 1991 Acton & Dystel, Barry's literary agents' listing of their new authors:

At the time of its inception, Barry certainly would have been involved in providing and proofing the copy. It was then used for several years, I understand, thus if there were any needed adjustments in the copy, Barry and his handlers had ample time to correct that record, of which there is no publicly known evidence.

Yes that is what I was recalling. It was always interesting Hussein would attack Kenya narrative rather than admit he and his publicist had created this dream if that was what happened (easy enough but he didn’t)
