However regardless of the past actions (trespass or ‘chase’ although those with the guns are stopped, not chasing after him and the videographer is quite a bit behind the runner. I doubt the suspect was outrunning a truck) it comes down to a scuffle.
Was the shotgun being legally handled (was it brandishing a weapon, was it being used in a threatening manner, etc)?
Was the deceased acting purely in self-defense (unaware that he was being accused of any crime etc.) or was he attacking those who intended to detain him in regard to one or more crimes and willing to use deadly force against these 2 men?
In the Trevyon case, Zimmerman was merely observing and following while on the phone with the police. Treyvon’s girlfriend told him to that ‘creepy ass cracker’ and Zimmerman soon found his head being bashed against the pavement. That was clearly self-defense. Treyvon struck first. It doesn’t sound like the weapon was drawn while Zimmerman was on the phone walking.
Is this self-defense? Is this manslaughter? Is this murder? these are the questions and depending on how they are charged they may be guilty or innocent of the charge itself.

They may be found not guilty but they are going to pay a couple hundred thousand in legal fees.
The 911 caller who is seen in video number 2 told the operator that the house in question had been hit a number of times The property owner told local media that his house had been hit. The McMichaels told the cops the same thing. There are 4 prior incidents listed in the police report.

Yell for help? As did when 2 hispanic yutes called me nigger and pulled a gun on me? I didn’t shout for police while they had me down on the ground taking my wallet but after they pealed out I did. And I ran down the street and gave a report to disinterested/scared cops (long story short I got a case number but never any followup call and it was never listed in violent crimes in my neighborhood stats).
If you are in a neighborhood in broad daylight, turn around and run the other way rather than running towards the second truck, then around the truck and trying to get the jump on one of the guys. The best defense is a good offense? Or felon’s guilt?

I believe there are many things wrong with your argument. Georgia law is clear on citizens arrest. If the offense is a felony and the offender is escaping or attempting to escape, a private person may arrest him upon reasonable and probable grounds of suspicion. There is no evidence that Arbery committed the crime of burglary, which is a felony, that day. One could argue that he was trespassing but that is considered a misdemeanor in the state of Georgia.
Another chink in your argument is that fact that not once had anything ever been reported stolen from the house under construction. The police said that the only theft crime they responded to in that area was the when Travis McMichael’s 9mm pistol was reported to have been stolen from his unlocked pickup on New Year’s Day. Almost two months before the day Arbery was shot and killed.
