Heart surgeon told me in 1992 that he couldnt recommend flu shot, and had never had one himself. I went with it and so did my wife. 28y and never had flu...and were old and told to stay inside. Hah!
I think was has never been done is enough genetic studies on folks like us that have never had a serious flu illness.
I do know they found individuals who do not get HIV in spite of being very exposed to it - in one case intentionally. In those cases they think they found genetic markers from ancestors who were survivors or the plagues. Of course since so many millions died of the plague the common assumption is everyone infected died. But that wasn’t the case. Not everyone infected was killed. So some peoples’ immune systems mounted a defense and survived the infection. Many generations later, up to today, some of the genetic variants for their immune system response can still exist in some folks.
