Hmm, but he was officially a member of the FBI. Someone found him on an FBI site, he was at the SF field office. Then that went away.

If he is not fired at this point, I assume he’s a songster.

And Alexander Vindman was officially a member of the White House National Security Council... until he wasn't.

Then, not having an assignment, he began showing up for his "real job / day job / official job" at the CIA.
Maybe it's useful to think that if you're currently in or have been in the CIA, you might be assigned various jobs at other government agencies... say... for CNN or WaPo for, example... while you still work for the CIA!
