So Vitamin D deficiency results in more severe outcomes, so we lock up the elderly indoors away from sunlight, where they will become vitamin D deficient.
Open them windows and pull back the drapes for god sakes. Install sun windows in the roof. Or buy each a bottle of 100 tablets of 50 mcg vitamin D3.
The elderly are the ones who needed to be locked up through this—but there should have been loud and clear messages to take significant supplements for vitamins C and D and zinc, at least.
And nothing. Absolutely no word on that.
