I really would like Powell to probe why Contreras got recused.
Flynn signed the plea deal with Mueller outside of court on 11/30/2017.
Flynn also signed the “statement of offense” document for the court, outside of court on 11/30/2017.
Mueller filed the whole shee-bang with the Dist Court on 12/01/2017.
Flynn pled guilty on 12/01/2017 before Judge Contreras and the Judge set release based on Personal Recognizance. Waivers signed. Booking of Flynn ordered
Then Judge Contreras gets wished into the cornfield (he didn’t recuse but was recused from the case) on 12/07/2017 and the case is randomly reassigned to Judge Sullivan.
Nobody is talking about why Contreras was recused.
Somebody needs to revisit this.
