Oookay....I checked the Washingtonian link you provided. The first thing I do when faced with a publication about which I know nothing, I do searches on it, and then the author.

Forged Under Fire—Bob Mueller and Jim Comey’s Unusual Friendship
The inside story of how the most surreal night of the War on Terror united the retiring FBI director and his evident successor.

Media Bias/Fact Check was started by Dave Van Zandt who worked at a “progressive” institution, New School. So the site Media Bias/fact check is definitely not on the ‘right’ or conservative side. Yet it says that the Washingtonian is far left.

These media sources are moderately to strongly biased toward liberal causes through story selection and/or political affiliation. They may utilize strong loaded words (wording that attempts to influence an audience by using appeal to emotion or stereotypes), publish misleading reports and omit reporting of information that may damage liberal causes. Some sources in this category may be untrustworthy

History

Founded in 1965, the Washingtonian is a monthly magazine distributed in the Washington, D.C. area. The magazine focuses on local feature journalism, guide book–style articles, real estate, and politics. The current editor is Michael Schaffer.

Funded by / Ownership

The Washingtonian is family-owned through Washington Magazine Inc. The former CEO was Philip Merrill (1934–2006), who was succeeded as chairman by his wife, Eleanor; their daughter Catherine Merrill Williams is the president and publisher. Revenue is generated through subscription fees, advertising, sponsored content and Amazon Affiliate links.

Analysis / Bias

In review, the Washingtonian Magazine is published monthly, however the website is updated daily. Journalists cover topics in the DC area that consists of entertainment, culture, general news and politics. News reporting tends to favor the left through story selection and wording such as this: Far-Right Activists Brought Their Gripes About Social Media to a Park Near the White House This Weekend. This story is properly sourced to high factual left leaning sources such as the Daily Beast and Vox. The Washingtonian also produces long form journalism that is thoroughly researched such as this: A Murder on the Rappahannock River. The website also provides rankings that include top physicians, top places to dine, and top neighborhoods. Editorially, almost all opinions favor the left and denigrate the right such as this: We Should All Cringe With Embarrassment About Trump’s Banana-Republic July 4 Spectacle.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Okay, enough of the publication. The author, Garrett M. Graff, The Aspen Institute is about as deprish as they come, and Wired is considere left/center bias by the Media Bias site:
https://www.wired.com/author/garrett-m-graff/
Garrett M. Graff (@vermontgmg) is a contributing editor at WIRED and a director at The Aspen Institute. He is the author of the No. 1 national bestseller The Only Plane in the Sky: An Oral History of 9/11. He can be reached at garrett.graff@gmail.com.
Here’s his twitter account, he is obviously not on Trump’s side of things:
Lastly, the Washingtonian article itself: I tried to read it, I really did. It’s written like a novel, with emotional words and unncessary drively fiction-type writing stuff, I could not stomach it. It did not read like a factual report, but a psychological angle emotional story thing. I just can’t read stuff like that. Of course Meuller is very icky and Comey infinitely worse. Was there another point in that article that was relevant?
So.....
