“So if you have a couple of hundred people circulating in a grocery store during the day, they will all have contributed something to the air that is being breathed. The place I am standing now was occupied a few moments ago by someone else, and a few moments earlier by yet another person.”
What is your point?

"What is your point?"
The point is that the six-foot rule is silly because any viruses that we might have are emitted into the air which circulates throughout the entire store, and although masks - especially improvised masks - might reduce that a little bit, they don't prevent it entirely.
People act as if the six-foot rule surrounds us with an invisible protective shield, but in fact we are all moving around in the same air and breathing the same air.
