Here’s my data dump from church today, using guidelines for churches:
Families sit together, but the groups are staggered and a good distance from each other.
Offering plates aren’t passed. A deacon will carry them from one group to the next.
We’re not supposed to sing. (Spewing cooties in the air, I guess.)
Where we sat today is our assigned area for all services until this whole thing is over. The hymnals in the racks can be touched only by us.
No “howdies and handshakes”. :)
Our elderly members weren’t there, and they shouldn’t be. Some had careers at a national lab for decades. Things were done there long before there was good understanding of health risks, so many suffer from lung issues. No way could they afford to risk infection.
Many changes, but it was good to be back in church again.
