Q1 GDP To Be Revised Drastically Lower To -8%
According to Goldman’s economists, today’s Factory orders - which declined 10.3% in March, missing expectations for a smaller decrease - will be the catalyst for further aggressive cuts to the Q1 GDP print. As the bank explains, “growth in core capital goods orders for February was revised up by 0.2pp to -0.7%, and growth in core capital goods shipments was revised down by 0.1pp to -0.9%. Growth in core capital goods orders and shipments were left unrevised in prior months.”
And so, reflecting the growing weakness in non-durable inventories and the net downward revisions to March durable goods data, Goldman further lowered its first quarter tracking estimate for the May 28th Q1 GDP revision by five tenths to -7.2%, roughly 50% lower than the -4.8% originally reported. Worse, as additional source data is incorporated and non-response biases are resolved, Goldman expects the final vintage of the data to show an even larger decline of -8.2% (-0.5pp relative to our previous estimate of -7.7%), which would match the Q4 2008 drop when the financial system was on the verge of collapse.
Of course, all of this only looks at Q1, when the US economy was only impaired for about 2 weeks in late March when widespread shutdowns were launched. One can only imaging what Q2 GDP will look like.

FTA:Journalists have just given voters a terrific reason to re-elect Trump...to watch their hilarious angst. Jeremy Barr in Saturday’s Hollywood Reporter has chronicled the whining by the press at the prospect of being forced to cover four more years of Donald Trump in the Oval Office.
It is obvious, though they lamely try to hide it to no avail, that most of the Washington press corps suffers from extreme Trump Derangement Syndrome and the idea of continuing to cover Trump for another term has sent them into complete despair. So for many voters, casting their ballots for Trump would be an act of very pleasurable schadenfreude knowing how it would send so many members of the press into a deep, deep depression.
Maggie Haberman, the chief White House correspondent for The New York Times and the journalist who has most embodied the Trump presidency, expressed doubt about her ability to cover another Trump term — logistically — in a previously unpublished interview with THR in late February, before the coronavirus was officially declared a pandemic.
So voters should deny Trump a second term in order to prevent poor Maggie from suffering a mental meltdown?

What I noticed about the TH last night was that FOX wasn’t hiding their bias from us at all.
The questions by mods and those chosen from submitted one were all snarky, meant to criticize Trumps handling of the Presidency and the virus.
You know there were questions submitted from all over, some probably even praising Trump, but FOX couldn’t have that, no siree!

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll sponsored by Inside The Numbers With The People’s Pundit for Monday shows that 46% of Likely U.S. Voters approve of President Trump’s job performance. Fifty-three percent (53%) disapprove.

Parts of Chandra Levy's body were found about a year later and they charged Ingmar Guandique for her murder. Until today I thought he was still in prison but in searching to remember the name of who they charged I found this story reported in 2016 which I doubt many heard and NO ONE is being told what the evidence was as to why they released him.
I still say Gary Condit killed Chandra or had her killed and Joe killed that intern.

Back tracking ..on cell. I went out and weeded some..unfortunately the pollen count is extremely high according to my asthma. Had to come in and use air from CPak machine. No mask needed for asthma..perfect for people to just have the open hose with air hit ones mouth and nose area. It’s my son’s he wouldn’t use a couple years ago...Hes now using one smaller and better programmed.
