My friend from Nawlins told me all y all is in fact plural for y’all. I am from the North, so what do I know?
It's different in Texis.
Lots of cohorts, identifiable groups with a group identity—can be a bit like Jews on some topics . . . 10 people having 20 opinions.
A lot of things a majority of Texans might agree on.
That a lot of politicians are “all hat & no cattle” would be one of them.
Maybe a fair number of Texans might say that ‘all y’all’ was plural. Probably an equal number or more would think it’s much ado about little or nothing.
Then there are the ignorant educated idiots around Austin/in Austin. They’re on another planet—like Californians.
