One thing I fear is that China, or some other rogue nation, will see the effect this has had on our economy and try it again with some other virus.

I see 2 possible scenarios.

Scenario A is that we continue to move down the curve and gradually open. By mid summer, except for mass gatherings at sporting events, etc. we should be getting back to normal.
