What are your predictions of what can be expected due to the reaction to COVID-19 (and persistent promotion of COVIDphobia)?

What I have learned from it is that many on the right are just as capable of creating alternative realities and ignoring absolute fact as the Left is. Meaning you think the long-term extreme restrictions are warranted and should continue, or you think the govs went overboard, and the speculated consequences proffered here are unwarranted?

Given the exposure of Chinas screw up along with the failure of COVID-19 medical supplies received by other countries, I expect a massive backlash against China. I expect other countries to reclaim resources and infrastructure lost through loan defaults through judgements from lawsuits tried locally. Not gonna happen as the West simply cannot competitively produce the vast wealth of products that basically only China does, and she can absord far more loss than America.

Underground? Churches are now operating more publicly and out in the open than ever before. NONSENSE.
The GOVERNMENT has virtually padlocked our buildings! Here is supposedly Red-State Alabama, our fear-racked female Governor has limited church gatherings to NINE (9) people. The church of the living God is forced to meet online, or to sneak off into a farmer's field to gather to pray (YES I did so).
Bad, bad things are coming. Get food, water, shelter, and energy stored in bulk. Get your garden going. And if you live in a big Demonrat city, for the sake of God and your family, get out.

There would have been no crisis, period. It would have been the same as Obama and the SARS pandemic. Media silence. Or as during the 100,000 American deaths from the Hong Kong flu in 67-68.

Meek compliance into soft socialism entered into not with a bang but a whimper. Eloquently but sadly put.

I see 2 possible scenarios. Scenario A is that we continue to move down the curve and gradually open. By mid summer, except for mass gatherings at sporting events, etc. we should be getting back to normal. The media, which is far more pervasive, propagandistic and perverted than in the past, will work day and night against that.

Also we are in the edge of hyper-inflation(ex foods prices) with all this fiat money floating out there..Then deflation....And we are seeing the beginnings of that in Real Estate...People who have money will clean up in Real Estate and people in debt and owing on Real Estate will lose their shirts..as values will collapse.

Of the 30% who welcomed that vision, perhaps 10% have been disabused of its benefits. The convictions of the other 70% have been reinforced. I cannot foresee compliant Americans going forward. I foresee huge mass resistance and a realignment of the so-called independents. Rather, most in the cities simply believe what the MSM tells them and comply with whatever it says.
Outbreak poll : Most Americans favor continued lockdown Only 12% of Americans say the measures where they live go too far

I’m not worried about the first round... You’re right - people who are healthy will (for the most part) do just fine.
My concern is the virus causes damage even to healthy people - AND HOW WILL THE VIRUS SEE THOSE BODIES NEXT WINTER? I’m guessing the virus will ‘assume’ a sick or old person.

The business elites are an utter mystery to me. I think we should be swapping over supply chains away from China to much more American manufacturing and trade with the UK and our fellow former colonies as well as Latin American countries and bright spots in Africa to aid in fending off Chinese encroachment. There are far too many things manufactured in China and marked way the heck up by various middlemen who have become our elite. We shouldnt play that game as consumers. America has neither the manufacturing to produce so much of what China is streamlines to produce, nor the people willing to work as hard for less.
I think China knew that we would not have won 2 world wars without its massive manufacturing ability, and took it away in the name of free trade.

And we are seeing the beginnings of (deflation) in Real Estate Not sure what you're seeing, but I think any current lower RE prices only reflect a general lack of confidence in the future/economy. IMHO, when the economy recovers, RE prices will ratchet back up at the same time.

Trump will catalyse the renaissance of the US economy, and it will soar to unprecedented heights...Under Trump's leadership, the USA will prepare for future epidemics and biological warfare as never before. Rather, the demographics are now about 70% liberals and those who look to them as saviors, proxy servants of the devil though they be. Thus they will worship the beast.

Are you saying India and other countries in Southeast Asia can’t make create a haven for companies that want out of China?
If Trump recognizes Taiwan as an independent nation that put the Taiwanese who operate factories in China in a bind.
