Sadly, that ship sailed six weeks ago. He’s done his damage as assigned and firing him now would be useless — except for optics and to make us feel really, really good.
It’s gotten worse. He is now actively undermining Trump by running off to some lamestream reporter to undercut whatever the “reopen America” message was for that day.
Perhaps he’s trying to get fired.
Simpler solution is that the First Rule of the Coronavirus Task Force becomes that NO ONE TALKS about the Coronavirus Task Force.
