It goes from wearing your shirt one size too small on purpose to wearing it one size too small and you don’t know how it shrank!
I'd like to know whether Bill Barr agrees with Governor Charlie Baker (R-MA) that firearms are "non-essential," and therefore it's okay to shut down MA gun shops for the duration of the current health crisis. (Or until he fells like opening them up again.) I had always thought that self-defense, and the defense of one'a family and home are most essential activities designed to preserve our constitutional rights of life, liberty, and property, which are powers reserved to the people individually that may not be infringed. It appears to me that the Second Amendment testifies to this. This is the essence of the constitutional recognition of our right to keep and bear arms. Ultimately, the possession of firearms (and ammo) is a public safety measure, particularly at a time of severe social dislocation and unrest.
Or so I have been taught to believe. Is this no longer true?

Oh wow! thanks for that tidbit...and the kind words!
And here are results from a mini-dive I just did on those two...and found two of particular interest:
Link plus search blurb :

Eliot Cohen, Mitt Romney’s Man on Iran By Max Blumenthal | Al Akhbar | February 3, 2012
“Should Mitt Romney make it to the White House, his Middle East policy and plan for Iran may be as hawkish as that of Bush Junior, thanks to Eliot Cohen...”
AND
EA Cohen wrote this in the Atlantic. Cohen praises Mittens to the skies for that awful betrayal against POTUS in the impeachment. Link plus search blurb:
https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/2020/02/mitt-romneys-remarkable-speech/606307/
Eliot A. Cohen. Contributing writer ...” the most important thing about the impeachment of Donald Trump will probably be Mitt Romney’s speech explaining his vote to convict the president of abuse ...”
AND...just a little off subject, but interesting anyway:
Here is an article naming some of the other stellar individuals whom Mittens chose to be on his foreign policy team. However, they picked out Walid Phares in particular to discuss. They pretty much don’t like Walid, it would seem. Link plus search blurb:
https://newrepublic.com/article/96519/romney-walid-phares-sharia-caucus-iowa-pawlenty
“Robert Kagan. Eliot Cohen. Michael Hayden. Dov Zakheim. Michael Chertoff. Skim through the names of Mitt Romney’s recently announced foreign policy team, and you will be struck by the high level ...”
What foreign language?
My recollection is they most feared Flynn wanted to audit intel community

#Fauci is a bad apple under white hat control.
His job is to expose his medical crimes and those of the Deep State in hiding cures for $ - particularly HIV.
This remdesivir charade today will eventually blow up big time.
Its the learning curve pill the public must swallow.
#Fauci refuses to acknowledge this study which shows no benefit of remdesivir.Down pointing backhand index
Yet he preaches a preliminary non-published, non-peer reviewed drug company trial which shows no statistically significant improvement in mortality.
AND he wants to ramp it out.
Go figure.

The frame-up of Flynn started with the BOGUS C_A report that the Russians had interfered in the election.
*********
We need to also keep in mind why the scumbags thought the Russia lie was necessary.
The document dumps that they just couldn’t sweep under the rug. The original declass. Unscripted.
That had to be blamed on someone besides who they knew did it, since they’d already executed the person responsible and eyes had to be kept away from that as well.

There was a time when networks like MSNBC and CNN argued for civil liberties and against such abuses. Now, because such principles would benefit Trump, there is just a shrug with a common mantra “everyone does it.” Yes, abuses occur but that is not license for their commission..

...one experts agrees with Ben Wittes that “the Flynn prosecution involved common FBI tactics. Those tactics have been blessed by the courts time and again.” They blessed planning a trap and then, after investigators conducted Flynn was not intentionally lying, coercing a plea?..

So according to experts on MSNBC and other networks this is all just standard procedure in discussing how to trap a high ranking incoming officer under a clearly unconstitutional law. Experts are just shrugging off this with “everyone does it.” ...
