RE: I have been taking Zinc as a cold remedy for years and now as a prophylaxis for weeks.
Good on you. How’s it working out so far?
May I ask, how many mg. of Zinc do you take daily?
I see Zinc picolinate being sold in my local pharmacy at 50 mg per tablet. Wonder if that’s good enough.
If you don’t have enough zinc, it isn’t going to work.
Not much $$$ to be made with HCQ and zinc, so Dr Fauxi will be his usual passive aggressive self and fight it tooth and nail
Something I’ve been wondering about with regard to WuFlu nursing home patients...If the patient was/is on a daily multivitamin, do the patients on vitamins with more zinc do better than the patients on vitamins with lower amounts, patients not on a multivitamin.
The label direction is one tablet (50 mg) daily "as a dietary supplement". I've never heard anyone recommend megadoses. We are just doing the one. Sometimes, when I have a cold, I will crush the tablet (not made for that) in my mouth to get some more absorption.
Yep. Loved the nasal swab applicators until Rush-hating lefties manufactured litigation.
Zinc can lead to anosmia.

I had this happen after using a nasal spray containing zinc. It resolved within a week, but it was really upsetting to lose my sense of smell.
Is this also a side effect of oral zinc or the slow-melt lozenges?
I went to my local supermarket yesterday. It sells three brands of zinc, and they were all sold out. Just about every other type of supplement was well-stocked. My multi-vitamin has some zinc, but i was going to up my zinc intake a little. I have a feeling that looking for zinc is going to be like looking for toilet paper.
Zinc is scarce in my area too. None at the grocery stores or nearby supplement store. No problem getting some from Amazon though.
