1. Testing now includes antibody testing. All experts have agree that the numbers are going to go upas testing is expanded to include antibody and immunity testing. This is actually acting to further drive down the death rate

2. Most boards are including presumptive deaths in their cases. In NYC there are 10,000 confirmed deaths with Covid (mind you this is just laboratory confirmation there is no delineation between due to CoVId and someone who died with CoVId) and 16,000 reported in the count that gets put up on the site you breathlessly report from. This means that the true numbers are inflated 50%. If we you understood this you could then probably do the simple analysis to find that given the way things are recorded the true number is actually only about 34,000 nationwide (2/3 the reported count).

3. Given that we are off on our projected cases by several factors and that the true number of deaths is likely lower than the breathless reporting from sites you like, mortality rate is dropping to around .2-.3 and will likely continue to fall to the level of — wait for it — the seasonal flu.

All the experts who have generated fear are also stating that the mortality rate is past its peak in the hot spots, net discharges are much greater than admissions (resolves cases that are NOT being included in your previous numbers for several more weeks) and that by Memorial Day this will be behind us
