Put me in the column of “no coincidence.”

Biden is a “place holder”, similar to the numeral 0

Agreed. There is no such thing as a coincidence when it comes to politics.

As long as Biden thinks he’s the nominee, who’s going to tell him otherwise? Does he even know what some of his opposition and his supporters are thinking of his mental status?

Let’s see if I’m reading this right. To stop Bernie from getting the Democrat nomination, Red China releases a virus that devastates their economy and earns them the mistrust of the entire world.

That’s a bridge too far for me.

I’d say that the virus has nothing to do with Bernie or Biden. Biden was always waiting in the wings, should Bernie pull ahead of his rivals. Bernie pulled ahead. So Biden entered the race.

Coincidence - what were Democrat told when they all except one, dropped out the night before ‘Super Tuesday’? If a Democrat, I would have encouraged all to stay in because the front runners were not strong candidates.

My money is on no convention at all. (I am from Milwaukee) Telephone conversation by acclamation nominating Biden and Big Mike for VP. And then an Arkanside.

“4 A Brokered Democrat convention is looking like a foregone conclusion. “

Yeah...just like Biden was supposed to lose to Sanders.

And Hillary would jump-in last October.

And Warren was the real DNC candidate.

And Bloomberg was going to buy it all because Obama requested that he run.

But it’s a slow Saturday, so lets pull another stupid theory out of thin-air and watch how many people on FR just go with it.

I wouldn’t put it past the Dems to try to replace Biden. But with who? I think Cuomo and Newsom are aiming for 2024. They’re gun grabbers, but they’re not dumb, and they know that going up against any incumbent can be an uphill battle.

I think they might be stuck with him. Keep in mind too that many in the media truly have no idea how out of touch they ar. They really think that by ignoring the Tara Reade story or ignoring the FBI corruption with Michael Flynn that the story will just magically go away (the stories aren’t going away). I think that many of them truly do think that they can cover for him through November.

There were two defining moments of the 2016 campaign for me. One was when Trump famously said “Only Rosie O’Donnell” in the Republican debate. The other was when John Oliver ran his “Drumpf” skit. I was just thinking...is that really the best you can do? I wasn’t even offended. I was just thinking...this isn’t that good. Look, obviously I’m right wing, but I recognized when some of the left wing attacks against Bush for example were effective. This wasn’t. It was just silly. But the left really thinks it’s working - which is why they’re going to lose.

Good point, and remembering hearing Biden was also presented as being a candidate because it keep the Russian collusion story alive, whereas if he wasn’t running, Trump couldn’t be characterized as having been using the Russians for political gain.

The Progressive agenda is to destroy Western Civilization and place a corrupt totalitarian dictatorship in charge. This process has been happening on every possible level and segment of society in every nation on all of Planet Earth. The sum total of the process is death, destruction, corruption, and stupidity at every level of human life on a planetary scale. The progressive agenda is a vast conspiracy akin to termites chewing on healthy wood.

If the majority of American voters somehow select an obviously demented, corrupt, creepy, open borders, socialist as their President, then the American nation and republic has run its course.

Biden WILL BE the candidate, UNLESS he can be talked into stepping down, or removed (against his will) by some other means.

Foregone conclusion is a bit too strong, but it has to be a possibility

I certainly hope that Biden is their nominee, as he’s just about the weakest candidate they could possibly field. But I continue to think (fear) that they’ll dump him this summer one way or another... maybe due to the Reade accusations, maybe on the basis of his obvious mental impairment, maybe on the basis of a real or contrived physical malady.

OK, so what are the odds for Hillery stepping up to "save the Democratic Party"?

The Wookie?

Lieawatha?
