Per the Minnesota Department of Health, they are reporting 5730 positive tests for COVID-19, an increase of 594 cases from yesterday (Thursday).
28 new deaths (an increase of 4 from Thursdays new deaths) were reported, raising the statewide total to 371.
2282 individuals with positive tests are no longer isolating, an increase of 110 from yesterday (Thursday).
Between the Department of Health and private labs, a total of 74829 tests have been conducted, an increase of 4553 tests since yesterday (Thursday).
Currently 369 patients are hospitalized for COVID-19, an increase of 4 from yesterday (Thursday). 118 patients are in ICU, an decrease of 12 from yesterday (Thursday).
The median age of all reported cases is 48. The median age of all hospitalized cases is 63. The median age of all deaths is 83.
The age group of all reported positive cases is as follows:
0-5 yrs - 1%
6-19 yrs - 3%
20-29 yrs - 15%
30-39 yrs - 18%
40-49 yrs - 15%
50-59 yrs - 16%
60-69 yrs - 12%
70+ yrs - 20%
Of all cases, 48% are female and 51% are male.
By ethnicity, whites comprise 43% of all cases and 66% of all deaths. Blacks comprise 14% of all cases and 5% of all deaths. Hispanics comprise 14% of all cases and 2% of all deaths. Asians comprise 4% of all cases and 1% of all deaths. American Indians comprise 1% of all cases and 2% of all deaths.
