I thought to replace mine early (finger device) in the pandemic and no luck at the local pharm. Another hoarding item, I suppose. OTOH, not so much demand meant not so many on the shelves to begin with.
The good news is, if you have a 2019-20 fitness tracker, it probably has a passable spo2 function.

Saw an article that said many “smartwatches” had the ability,but FDA disapproved.
Don’t know if they’re accurate enough.
But a person who came for treatment of covid symptoms should be given one by the hospital if sent home
There’s still the coagulation issue, but I’m assuming that comes after the oxygen issue.
