The following may be a snapshot of how the conservative mind (mine) works:

My wife and I were driving down the highway and I noticed a nice home that we often drive by had a green spotlight on their front door and their garage lights were green. I said, “They must have left their St Patricks day lighting up.”

She said, “A green light is in memory of those who died of CV19.”

So, what was the very first thing I thought and said when I heard that? It was immediate and it was this: “What about those that died of the flu, of aids, of cancer, of heart disease, in car crashes, etc.? What about them?”

Who comes up with these stupid symbolic gestures and what is their true purpose?

______________

It’s just “feelgoodism.” My mind works like yours - logically.

To prove who's the biggest virtue signaling Karen in the neighborhood. It's a way for people to still get attention, even when they're too lousy and untalented even for community theater.
