I have a question. I have heard it reported several times that the difference between having a case with cold-like symptoms and one that progresses to pneumonia is what is termed “viral loading.” If that is the case, then why can’t we just “load” everyone who is willing with a small dose and move onward through the fog?
The intentional loading of a small amount of virus is a live vaccine. It needs to be attenuated to prevent progression to full blown disease.
There are some postulates that the viral load predicts the clinical course. Thst would be a stretch in my experience. There are no predictive elements for why someone might progress to ARDS in any infection as opposed to those who do not.
“why cant we just ‘load’ everyone who is willing with a small dose and move onward”
This has been a good option at LEAST back to the 1700s when George Washington purposely infected his troops with smallpox. “The First Mass Military Inoculation.” Not sure why TPTB won’t do it now.
