The IRS will use the information on the Form SSA-1099 or Form RRB-1099 to generate your payment. You will receive your payment as a direct deposit or by mail, just as you would normally receive your benefits.
Again:
If you didn't get a refund by DD you must give them your banking info to get your payment by DD. They will not use your SS banking info.
If you didn't have to file a tax return you will have to give them your banking info to get your payment by DD.
And
Even though I get my SS by DD, the Payment Tool said it needed my banking info to get DD. So, if the above conditions aren't met, expect your payment by mail.
