Soloman has done a lot of sober reporting, gone where others were too uncomfortable to print details and his sources were made central for his credibility, on display as impeccable.
However oddly, he has never sounded confident about much of real consequence ever happening, beyond maybe a little basic excitement over this-or-that piece of a report breaking, “soon”.
What’s that all about? Is John simply that cynical, after all these years of covering not-much justice being served above the low level players and Never to the top tier?
I think he is that cynical, especially with examples such as FBI Director Christopher Wray fighting to prevent exculpatory evidence from surfacing in the Flynn case. Hopefully the pace will accelerate and his cynicism will prove unfounded.
Didn’t he say something big coming this week?
