I’m not sure it was ever very polite, but I agree with the rest of it. im sure most have been manipulated by the shills who show up on every thread ready to swoop and poop all over anybody who gets out of like.
True. Every board is going to have a group of people who set themselves up as the thought police. I left FR for a few years because of a small group that firebombed every thread. I think only one of them is still here.
Robinson did a good thing by not incorporating upvotes and downvotes. Those make board manipulation easier.
