The distinguishing act that separates Treason from Sedition, Subversion, Conspiracy, is ‘Oath of Allegiance’.

Does pledging allegiance to the flag of the United States of America also fall under that point?

I think my elemetary school stopped making all of us do the morning pledge in homeroom around 1972.

The Oath has to be part of an official act. Classroom pledges are not official.

Personally I feel classroom pledges should be required but it is not an official act as classrooms can have children of foreign parents who are in the US for a temporary time.
