I realize these figures are a bit lower than both JHU and worldometers. I feel that worldometers is getting a little too far ahead in NY and the numbers are not supported by official releases. JHU also includes 357 deaths in Veterans hospitals - are those double counted as state deaths too? Both also include 23 deaths from Federal prisons, 22 deaths of US military personnel and 3 deaths from the Grand Princess. Again rather than possibly double counting these, I’m setting them to one side for now. - RK
