The main reason I do not believe this list, and of course I could be wrong, is that Durham runs an absolutely waterproof tight ship. I have read every article I could find about him. He is the surperlative prosecutor and never even gives press conferences, talks to reporters, makes annoucements, running commentary on what he’s up to - NOTHING ever. And wins every case.
So for this to be factual, someone on his team would have to be a total ahole.
Or was an intentional leak, perhaps to keep the real target (first) off balance?
Still on the fence on this list.
I suspect many here have read the National Review article about Durham, where he is called “the last trusted prosecutor in Washington” (even though he is in Connecticut). His record and reputation certainly speak highly of him and we couldn’t have asked for a better choice.
The article includes an anecdote about him having mentioned in one of his rare interviews that he goes to Mass 3 o 4 days a week, then getting a call from his mother asking “what about the other days?”. Just struck me as an example of what a private person he is, even when it comes to personal stuff, as well as being funny.
