I think the internet usage made the difference. Everyone in the world instantly knows what us going on. When the dust settles, I’m betting the role of the internet, AND ITS MANIPULATION, caused the worldwide economic shutdown.
We already had the internet as far back as SARS.
And Social Media was already present during the H1N1 outbreak.
