Very interesteting about the CIA/modern art connection. My mother was an art historian and I grew up going to all kinds of art museums, house had many art books, etc. When I was about 18 I realized modern art was total crap and made people miserable and weird and most people pretended to like it, and never looked back.
The turning point was when I went to a small local museum to see their new show and it was a room filled with white vinyl objects on the floor which were about 10X size replicas of piles of dog crap. I looked around, had the epiphany, and that was it. I never went whole hog into modern art anyway but that was the ultimate wakeup call.
It explained how Hefner found nude photos of Marilyn Monroe to launch Playboy, how the Grateful Dead were able to openly pass out drugs at their concerts and not get arrested.
Everything the press puts out is a lie.
Your objection to that crap (see what I did there?) Was because you are a lover of the truth at heart
2 Thess 2:8 Then that lawless one will be revealed whom the Lord will slay with the breath of His mouth and bring to an end by the appearance of His coming; 9 that is, the one whose coming is in accord with the activity of Satan, with all power and signs and lying wonders, 10 and with all the deception of wickedness for those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth so as to be saved. 11 For this reason God will send upon them a strong delusion so that they will believe what is false, 12 in order that they all may be judged who did not believe the truth, but took pleasure in wickedness.
Modern art is satan's audition for who will accept and live by a lie. It is almost invariably a celebration of either outright wickedness or chaos. We call it cognitive dissonance now. The willingness to believe 2 mutually contradictory things without questioning either one because you are committed to a moral position on each and will not allow logic (truth) to be a factor in your interpretation of the world (worldview).
These same people claim to be intellectual in their objection to God. I like to ask them a question..."If I gave you a complete answer that refuted every point you bring up would you become a Christian right now?" The answer is always no because the objections are not intellectual at their root; they are moral. The so-called intellectual problems are always rationalizations of moral objections to having to submit to God's commandments about what is good and what is evil. They have their pleasure in wickedness and object to God judging them for it.
