I'm trying this again. I double-checked and I had the correct link before but it did not post correctly.

This re minded me of the Wikipedia article about the 1976 Swine Flu:

In January 1976 several soldiers at Fort Dix complained of a respiratory illness diagnosed as influenza. The next month, Private David Lewis, who had the symptoms, participated in a five-mile forced march, collapsed and died. The New Jersey Department of Health tested samples from the Fort Dix soldiers. While the majority of samples were of the more common A Victoria flu strain, two were not. The atypical samples were sent to the Centers for Disease Control in Atlanta, Georgia, which found evidence of Swine influenza A, related to the 1918 flu pandemic which killed 50-100 million people worldwide.

You didn't have the same sergeant, did you? Was his name Sgt. Survival of the Fittest?

Please take a few minutes to watch this 14-minute clip of a 60 Minutes episode from 1979 about the swine flu in 1976. This is from when Mike Wallace was hard hitting and he interviews people that stitches together the big time mess created by the cdc with lack of testing and overreacting. The story from Fort Dix is an important part of the story.

You know what I get from all that?

“Waaaah!”

The reality is that life is hard, dangerous and messy. Only fools, idiots and mass murder loving utopianits can’t figure that out.

So, pushing all that bullcrap through to its necessary conclusion, the US military should stop and hold its breath every time one of its members get the sniffles just in case it’s something other than the usual.

Or, people can Grow. The. F***. Up. and drop the sub-juvenile expectation that there’s a perfect solution of absolute safety for every potential event.

Semper. M/F. Fi.
