Yeah, that’s what we were thinking. Add in stuff like pasta or rice when he cooks it at work.
Maybe precook the pasta or rice for that week and portion it so it’s easy to grab and go in the mornings.
He loves venison stew, so this would be cheap and easy to do. And not wrack my brain trying to figure out what he wants for lunch tomorrow.
Brown rice actually freezes very well.
Because it’s such a pain to cook, I usually make a big batch of it, make the mess once, and then freeze it into smaller containers for using on an as needed basis.
If you grow your own veggies and kill your own venison, cheap is hardly the word to use to describe how inexpensive it would be.
