When inflation hits full force from this magic money and lack of production, they’ll actually have something to complain about.

Once in a lifetime??? Don't count on it. The deep state will revel in their new control policy for every sneeze and sniffle that follows. Call it The Raw New Deal ™

They shoulda learned to code. Or to manufacture here in America. Or learned a useful trade. china produces engineers and India produces coders (albeit largely lacking in innovation or a lick of common sense).

Good luck with that PHD in gender fluidity.

the first generation in modern American history to end up poorer than their parents

Been hearing this all my life. It was said about every generation. I specifically remember it being said during the 90s.

I survived ‘78-’82, .com crash, 911, 2008 financial attack on the USA and now this.

Its about time Millennials discovered that life is not a free ride paid for by mom-dad.
Its way past time for them to grow up and take responsibility for their actions.

“Saddled with debt, unable to accumulate wealth, and stuck in low-benefit, dead-end jobs, they never gained the financial security that their parents, grandparents, or even older siblings enjoyed.”

And this is why Socialism is the only answer.

My millennial oldest son is doing great. He’s 23 and got a BS in Economics and works for Wells Fargo remotely. He makes a great salary and proposed to his girlfriend on the same day CA “shut down” (memorable proposal). He’s doing all the right things.

Three of my four are millennial age, the fourth is called Generation Z. He’s 20.

He’s not working right now and living in Grandma’s basement. The reason he’s not working is Gretchen Whitmer shut down the state.

He is a trucker and was driving for a construction company that was horribly managed right into bankruptcy. His boss called a lumberyard and told them he’s the hardest working kid he knows. He was hired without an interview. They even bought him a new semi tractor. Then this.

The others remain fully employed, two are clearly essential and will make it through this just fine.

I’ve lost jobs during the past two major recessions and had to essentially start over each time. So what?

This is not a 2-3 year recession. It’s a major blip. The economy should be humming strong in a couple months.

I do events for my company. Starting to make calls to start figuring out how to get them going again and hit it strong as soon as restrictions are lifted.

Grandma never got a $1200 check during the great depression. There was no unemployment check either. I see “now hiring” signs at retail stores right now if anyone is interested.

My daughter worked her way through community college to earn a certification in Respiratory Therapy. She checked the salary and demand before she entered the program. Graduated debt free and started at 45K per year. Not her “dream job” but it’s getting her where she wants to go.

For the Left, it's all about dividing. White from black, straight from gay, women from men, married from single. Should people of different ages also turn against each other?

Don't swallow the hook.

I worked with a bunch of millennials before retirement. STEM types. They are doing well for themselves. As for the rest, they have 25 to 30 years to get their shit together.

The Ultra Leftists making certain to LUMP all millenials in the same non-achievement generational non-outcome group of non-performers. The LEFT is so ungrateful, and also lying through their A@@es because it was FAKING OUT THE MILLENIALS that their hero, obamaumao specialized in. Making statements about how wrong generational wealth was for millenials fortunate enough to have been raised by hardworking prior generations who wanted more for their children and opportunities made available to them

NO- it was the LEFTIST nightmare curriculum managers at our vaunted colleges and universities milking the prior generation of money (by selling them the worn out brief that a college education was the ticket OUT of poverty) by promoting completely social political degree programs sure to do 2 things 1.) put them in student loan debt- of course totally paid now by the US govt and not private banks who insist on being paid back, and thus motivating a student to study something that would PRODUCE INCOME and 2.) guarantee their complete lack of employment at anything other than additional academic stipended dead end jobs and or staying in school permanently to increase their degrees and stay on the teat of govt.funds

They have some nerve at the Atlantic to mourn what THEY actuated. Some nerve. And not publish examples of Millenials who escaped their clutches and dead end socialism bartender AOC type lives, and run their own companies and invent new things and ideas that create their own wealth. No— they’ll never do that! MAGA appeals to those millenials-—obamaumao (you didn’t build that— because we wouldn’t let you, we think) and hitlery. German socialism leftists/Marxists led by village idiots.

They are now entering their peak earning years in the midst of an economic cataclysm more severe than the Great Recession, near guaranteeing that they will be the first generation in modern American history to end up poorer than their parents.

Which is still better than 99.9% of everybody in the history of the world....
