Every time we’ve driven from OR to CA they make us stop and and ask about fruit, plants etc. But I haven’t crossed the state line for some years now, and also the small “bug staition” about 15 miles from here is never manned. Haven’t seen anyone there for at least 15 years.

Recall it being manned in mid 80's (inspection station on 199 just S of O'Brien) but when they saw OR plates on the vehicle they waved you through. Don't remember anyone being there since early 90's?

That bug station hasn’t been manned for years. There used to be written in big white letters on the northbound lane “Welcome to Oregon Now Go Home” Haha it got painted over and repainted many times. I think it’s gone now.
