Why are the daily deaths still going up in May? Shouldn’t we have peaked by then? Because post peak, we hit a barrier (3% if we're extremely lucky), as has Korea. Then the numbers begin to rise again because of that accumulating interest thing (actually deaths in this case).

Because people aren’t staying home.
Tourist numbers here are lower than normal but they’re still out partying and spreading the virus.
