Thanks - I read it just now, was following flu activity for some years sort of obessively for some years. Swine flu was vicious nasty and strange; previously many more deaths were stated, now supposedly only 12,000, which is strange, a very low number.
A couple of years ago there were 80,000 flu deaths. What if that year it was covered as today? Hospital admissions, ICUs swamped, PPEs and ventilators in short supply?
My BIL died from complications associated with the flu 3 years ago. He had to wait 12 hours for an ICU slot to open up. None were available in 2 states. By the time he was admitted it was past the point of no return. I talked to my doctor who said it was a bad flu season.I was surprised because I saw zero news about it.
