Hmm, I thought there was an EO a cpl weeks ago that was supposed to alter the distribution channels for that stuff.
That’s not something that was a big deal in 1918. Most people at food at their own homes. Restaurants, for all but the very wealthy, were a bigtime treat.
Food supply here in the “Mid-South” seems to be recovering. My wife follows a local meat shop: They are pushing a big sale of 15 lb. packs of bacon for $2 per lb., and are selling out 4500, and 6000 lb. shipments every day. This is a very small store. Maybe they are not limiting qty’s?
I eat maybe 1/2 slice of bacon a month, but she wants me to get a pack for her and our daughter. Sheesh.
What was I saying about a global pork shortage? One would not know it around here... (Rolling eyes)
