The three main ones that people don't talk about are N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine (NAC), taurine and pantethine.

Begin by searching on pantethine. Hundreds of papers going back to the early 60s. It is worth the investigation, however the sick feeling in your stomach will never go away.

The "lipid theory" set medicine backwards. Just a theory. Still not proven. This is where pharmaceuticals decided to produce a product that plays with numbers. See, our formulation lowers LDL. Now you are cured.

That was never the case. They in fact had to come up with their own set of statistics thanks to the culpability of the NIH. We now have relative risk statistics.

Nowhere in all the studies did they determine the risk of interfering in the mevalonate pathway. Muscle destruction and pain? You're just a hypochondriac. Brain fog and confusion? It is just your imagination and we need to up your dose because you are becoming demented. Sterility and impotence? Hey, we can sell you some viagra. And on and on it goes. Great money making for companies like Pfizer. Approaching a trillion dollar drug. With that trillion dollars, you better not ask for their study data now that the patent has expired. They will destroy you. Just ask the last head of Cochran Reviews. Meanwhile heart disease and associated disorders march onward.

Taurine? Behind a paywall. Open science will cure that. Want to publish in a scholarly journal? Great for the ego, however few will see your work. Paywall hell.

NAC is interesting. Still not widely accepted as treatment for numerous conditions. It will play a roll in this epidemic.

Rant off and back to a nice single barrel drink.

Best.

One last thing to add to my rant:

Statins Linked to Raised Risk of Type 2 Diabetes

This is rich: "In 2012, United States Food and Drug Administration released changes to statin safety label to include that statins have been found to increase glycosylated haemoglobin and fasting serum glucose levels."
