Mostly reduced incoming.
So it’s “from” Asia to US that is short. The bigger issue is the removal of containers from the system. That is akin to taking railroad cars off the tracks because they cannot fill them.
With China providing many parts for US manufacturing if they were up and running, you would see more coming in. Thy would be fulfilling back orders.

Got a point about backorders, but I’d guess thta’s ‘about’ all that we want them shipping us.
Both China and US will have to be back to normal to see normal shipping.
Amd then I hope there’s less from China- permanently.
