When. measles was killing people in the first 60 years of the last century it was a pandemic. There was no vaccine. We did not shut down anything
Measles has been around for thousands of years.
In that time period, it’s been a childhood disease.
It came in waves, yes. But at no time were the majority of adults over the age of 15 susceptible to it.
Ever.
Ever since it probably species jumped as ‘rinderpest’.
You didn’t have an entire population of 40yr olds who were susceptible to measles.
Unless you want to include the native Americans? Cuz yeah, that’s what happens when you have a ‘novel virus’ and a population that’s never seen it before.
Europeans brought measles with them when they arrived in America. It was already a childhood disease then. In America, among Europeans, it has never been a big killer. It probably killed a lot of the native population, but there were many "new" diseases doing that.
People didn’t live like sardines in skyscrapers back then so much. People weren’t flying around the world in a matter of hours spreading measles. But carry on.
“When. measles was killing people in the first 60 years of the last century it was a pandemic. There was no vaccine. We did not shut down anything”
There was massive herd immunity. Only half a million cases per year in the US. We have more than that of CCP-19, in just weeks, even with all the mitigation efforts. And there were plenty of isolations and quarantines, for many diseases. It was routine. We’re all in isolation or in quarantine at the same time due to the fast moving nature of this virus and the speed of modern travel.
Of those half million, about 400 to 500 died. So about the same lethality as the flu, 0.1%. We have 3-4 times that dying every day from CCP-19. Over 30 times as many in the last few weeks have died from CCP-19 as died in a year from measles. Since the last time I posted these stats to you, more than a whole measles-year’s deaths from CCP-19 have been posted on the tracking sites.
You can verify everything I said if you don’t believe me. But if you are just going to ignore it and repost your nonsensical claims, do yourself a favor and go back to the many FluBro threads.
