TSR, I just made homemade waffles with maple syrup for dinner. Yep, breakfast dinner.
1.5 cups of all purpose flour. 1/2 teaspoon of salt, 1/2 teaspoon of sugar, 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon, 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda, 3.5 teaspoons of baking powder (Clabba Girl).
Mix with spoon dry.
Add 3 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil, 2 eggs.
stir until mixed evenly, heat waffle iron.
Add well shaken buttermilk slowly, stir, add more, stir, add little more until batter is nicely mixed, yet still on the thicker side, and not runny.
Apply batter to ready waffle iron, cook, remove, add butter and a small amount of pure maple syrup.
Serve with a delicious glass of milk!
This amount of batter will produce about 6 waffles. Cutting all ingredients by half will make 3 waffles.
