I went to grad school in a field that overlapped considerably with public health, and I couldn’t stand those people because with them it was never about controlling disease, it was always about controlling behavior. IMHO Trump used FauXi and Birx, knowing their limitations/etc, and by doing the lockdown, lowered the death numbers tremendously, which he knew would never be like the ginormous predictions they made.
Now he’ll open it back up “sooner rather than later”. The CDC is in bed with huge pharma who wants more and more $$$$, and of course the population control people as well, and no doubt but Trump knows this as well.
