It seems Adrenochrom addicts can't tolerate Chloroquine and are having negative reactions, and that's likely being interpreted by drug companies/medical profession as increasingly widespread "resistance" to the drug. I suppose the CDC and WHO will now advocate against it, citing that it isn't tolerated well, after all these decades of malarial use!
