“ Just wait 2 weeks after Easter Sunday and Texas will prove just how big it can get. ”

I drove through Dallas yesterday. There was no morning rush hour, but there was steady traffic throughout the day. I’d say the hours of 09:00 to noon had about 90% of regular traffic. They better not move the hospital out of the convention center. They will need it in two to three weeks.

Boris Johnson stable condition....

LONDON — Boris Johnson’s condition was “stable” during his first night in intensive care with Covid-19, Downing Street said Tuesday afternoon.

The prime minister “remains in good spirits,” his official spokesperson said, and was receiving “standard oxygen treatment and breathing without any other assistance.” He has “not required mechanical ventilation or non-invasive respiratory support,” the spokesperson said.

Political leaders from across the world have wished Johnson a speedy recovery, including Donald Trump who also suggested U.S. pharmaceutical firms could offer assistance with new potential drug treatments.

Responding, Johnson’s spokesperson said: “We’re grateful for all of the warm wishes the PM has received overnight,” but added the government was “confident the prime minister is receiving the best possible care from the NHS. Any treatment that he receives is a matter for his doctors.”

"If you have a post made by me at the time that shows I dismissed the lives of those who died from COVID-19, bring it forward. The previous threads are there and available."

I'm not digging through potentially *months* of your posts to find one where you made the point it affects primarily the old and sick.

You started out as a FluBro, solidly in the FluBro camp. Now you think you are some kind of arbiter of fairness on the daily threads or something.

"Meaning what? I thought so, you don't know."

And it seems I touched a nerve.

CDC estimates from Oct 2019 to March 28th that 38-55 million people have contracted the seasonal flu and 24,000-63,000 have died. Thats with an available vaccine. In 2018 80,000 people died from the seasonal flu. Hardly got a mention in the news.

Now 7300 people have died from a flu virus and the whole country has shut down. Its the most insane thing I have witnessed in my adult life. And even scarier is observing how easily an entire population can be persuaded to hysterically huddle in their homes and blindly believe all the crap coming from the news stations they routinely scorn as fake news.

On FNC - Sec. of Labor, Eugene Scalia, was sure stuttering over seeing or not seeing (oh, he saw) the letters from Navarro back in Jan. and Feb. warning of CV and deaths to US. Bigly stuttering.

What is even more amazing is that every government in the world went totally insane at the same time.

Earth has been taken over by reptilian aliens who have seized control of the world’s major media outlets—it is the only possible explanation!

(or something like that... :-) )

Well, I had my first excursion anywhere in 8 weeks, taking my pup to get neutered. I wish it could have waited but his buddy will be coming into heat in the next few months...

I “geared up”, n95 mask, gloves, hat, raincoat with hood, and glasses.

Anyway, they came out and got the pup from me In the parking lot. No other cars or people around. I met them a little distance away from the car, reached way away to hand them the leash and signed something. I kept about 10 feet away when talking. She had no gloves or mask on. She probably thought I was nuts, but who cares at this point. (I may donate some of my gloves to them tho)

Then I took off my gloves, sanitized my hands, got in my car. When I got home I took off my raincoat, hat and shoes and left them in the garage where they will stay for a week or so. I won’t be getting back in my car for at least a week, so not worried about that. I washed my hands, I put my clothes in the wash, then washed my hands again. I took off and sanitized my glasses. Washed my hands. Put on gloves and wiped down all the doorknobs and everything else I touched including the laundry buttons. Washed my hands again.

So... hubby is going to pick up the pup later today, but I am going to put on masks and gloves when dealing with the puppy until Thursday at least.

How did I do?
