Should have seen slick Faucifake slither his way with that lady morning interview question, does he wear a mask. Deflected right onto his wife, and never answered directly!

Agree about Sunday.
On Monday we’ll see the big spike.
Meanwhile, in NYC, certain populations are defying social distancing.
See NY Post video of teen streetfighters.

India started banning exports of certain drugs and ingredients three or four weeks ago.

Thanks. I don’t understand it at all
Does this mean that we should eat more protein or less protein?
Or doesn’t diet have anything to do with it?

Those proteins are what form the virus, and that is how it does its job to kill us.
A virus is not technically alive, it requires a living cell to replicate. The photos you have seen that look like a golf ball covered in mushrooms are the actual virus - those mushrooms are the binding proteins on the exterior. The ball is actually a bubble of fat, with the instruction proteins inside the ball.
Hand washing is important, as soap in water dissolves the fat bubble, killing the virus.

Hospitals start to fill up 2-3 weeks after the infection gets into a community. Infectees can walk around for that long before they are visibly sick. You don't get the bug on Tuesday and go to bed with a fever Wednesday and pneumonia Friday. And most people do not even show symptoms and most of the rest show light symptoms. I can almost pinpoint the arrival of the first wave here in late February and the second which was more obvious with Spring Break at the beach. We had a bout of people in the hospital in the first half of March who were not tested or diagnosed. If anyone died it was just taken by the community and the doctors as the normal course of things and made the obits but not the front page. We seem to be getting the obvious manifestations of the Spring Break wave in the last two weeks. This time it is being diagnosed. I suspect also that it will not be so bad in the Gulf States outside of the dense cities because everyone gets out in the sunshine every day with bare arms and no hats. Sunshine is the preventative and cure for seasonal flu and colds and likely has at least some mitigating effect on the WuHan Flu.

Have it your way. I am betting that my own observations hereabouts are correct. What I see at the shipyard seems best explained by that. It is mostly mild but when it is not mild it is pretty dramatic. I think the first wave here was in late February because a couple of families returned from vacations in China about then. This town is a smallcity and there is no large city within a hundred miles so it is pretty easy to keep track once one starts to notice things. I am pretty sure an antibodies test applied to the whole population would show that this thing has infected a third or a half of everyone. Remember SARs in 2003. A Turkish village made headlines because a dozen or so people died of it there. Later, maybe a year, maybe two, an American researcher went to that village and tested everyone in the village for antibodies and asked the relevant questions and concluded that the entire village had been infected. The ones who died made the news and the flaming statistics.

The FluBros are out in force today. Many on other threads are posting defiant statements that they are going golfing or what not. And some are posting numerous threads about stuff that is already debunked, including flat-out lies by the likes of Jim Hoft from GP.

It predicts a peak of 855 deaths on 4/9. Note the lower bound of UW predicts a peak of 563 on 4/6 and an upper bound peak of 1107 on 4/10). This is how UW predicts everything else (admission rate, beds, etc). They shape their model off reported deaths. /4
Looks like nearly all models and undershooting the results on the ground.
NYC had 757 deaths over the last 24hrs.

It’s funny that you assert your own observations as paramount to the actual known and documented data, then cite a cherry-picked instance of a less lethal disease from some other country known to doctor their stats, and leave off the population of the village to boot.
Confirmation-bias and solipsism and a disregard for the welfare of others is a really bad combination, bro.
